3LPE coating for carbon steel pipe is commonly applied to underground pipelines and oil & gas transport lines. It offers excellent corrosion resistance, impact protection, and long-term durability even in aggressive soil or water conditions. Compared with traditional coatings, 3LPE ensures the pipe maintains its integrity for decades with minimal maintenance.
2. Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) Coating
FBE coating is a durable epoxy powder layer applied to small and medium-sized carbon steel pipes. It provides strong corrosion resistance, high-temperature tolerance, and excellent adhesion. FBE coating for carbon steel pipe is suitable for waterworks, industrial pipelines, and oil & gas transport.
FBE can also serve as the base layer for 3LPE coatings, enhancing bonding with the polyethylene layer. With proper application, FBE extends the service life of carbon steel pipes significantly.
3. Galvanizing
Galvanizing involves coating the steel pipe with zinc, usually through hot-dip or batch-dip processes. The metallurgical reaction between zinc and steel forms a protective layer, providing excellent corrosion resistance.
