How to Store Galvanized Products Properly in Rainy Weather

Galvanized Products Are Not Afraid of Rain, But They Must Not Be Sealed!
During summer, high temperatures and frequent rainfall create hot and humid conditions. In such an environment, galvanized surfaces are prone to develop white rust (also known as alkaline reaction). To maintain product quality and appearance, it's crucial to follow proper storage and handling practices—especially during the rainy season.
Recommended Storage Conditions
Store steel-plastic pipes straight and indoors, away from heat sources.
If outdoor storage is unavoidable, take protective measures against rain and moisture.
Avoid direct exposure to sunlight and extremely cold environments.
The recommended temperature for storage is between -30°C and 45°C.
Do not place products directly on damp soil.
What to Do If Moisture or Water Is Present
If a bundle becomes soaked, unpack it immediately and place it in a well-ventilated area to dry.
If white rust or light spotting is noticed, allow it to dry until the rust becomes powdery, then wipe it off and apply anti-corrosion spray paint to restore protection.
Important Reminder:
Galvanized products can tolerate rainwater exposure, but sealing them tightly after becoming wet will accelerate corrosion. White rust may appear within 1–2 days. Timely handling is essential.
